The more I use it the more problems I find. Lots of strange, unnatural language: "I have a party 24 hours." “My dog sells hats.” “This hat belongs to whom?” This kind of app - focusses on delivery - sacrifices content - is only aimed at beginners - has a high drop out rate - focusses in gamification in an ineffective way I've been a language instructor and teacher trainer for almost two decades and these unnatural expressions are glaringly obvious. No way to turn off audio A It's inconvenient B is this eating up my data usage? Never asks me to type in the target language No clear way to report issues problems to the developers. Many of the challenges or activities are a bit too basic. I can often figure out the answers without actually learning. Simply by arranging the terms at the bottom into a coherent sentence is enough even without looking at the target language at the top of the screen. In the Japanese learning section some of the text is very hard to read due to the color. Any complicated kanji becomes impossible to see in the light yellow highlighted text. In the end, I’m not really learning much from the app.
